  • heavenly and and the wood...

so i spent this last week up in tahoe and what an adventure that turned out to be! so we departed for the glorious tahoe snow on monday and returned just this afternoon in spite of our plan to return on thursday. so we spent our time up in tahoe snowboarding at heavenly and at kirkwood, both of which we virtually had ALL to OURSELVES! i love weekday snowboarding and no lines for the lifts. we played x-box, rented movies, cooked our meals for each other, enjoyed not cooking for each other and stuffing our faces at harrah's buffet and just lounging out.

all in all the trip was a success. there were, however, a number of setbacks and faceplants in the snow. not really any faceplants, but you know that itch you have ALL summer long for that ideal, buttery surface of a snow-covered mountain side? the desire to throw down the tweaked-out nose presses, the backside boardslides... all that steezy shit you had nailed down at the end of last season? anyways, the point i'm making is that all those months you had spent NOT snowboarding significantly hinders your ability to throw down all that nasty shit right off the bat and i paid the price for my stubbornness with bruised flesh.

and, by setbacks i mean losing the keys to the car on one of the runs... -_- !!!! haha so we had to spend an extra night while the keys were over-night fed-exed to us. totally frustrating 'cause i had already spent the last couple of nights crying myself to sleep as i missed my babylove. ='[ but that's all over with 'cause here i am, at home, safe and sound. thank the lord, for a beautiful trip; good weather and ultimately good spirits all around.

tomorrow is may's pageant. hehe. you're the best, hun and i love ya. <3333

  • it's been a while...

...since i've last blogged and so much has happened since then. plenty of reasons to rejoice and enough reasons to want to curse the world for it's inability to cater to all your needs. thanksgiving was pretty much the same way it has been for years but by no means does it take away from the all the priceless moments spent with the family. but turkey wasn't the only thing going on thanksgiving day ;] life, however, throws its curve balls. an unexpected turn of events become reality. people hurt but that's life and nothing should keep anyone from counting their blessings.
